This castella is designed to look like Mt. Chokai. In addition to its mountain-like shape, almonds decorate the surface, imitating the rocky terrain of the mountain’s summit. Ingredients include sake kasu (sake lees) from Tenju Shuzo, a sake brewery located in the Yashima area of Yurihonjō City, and eggs from hens fed and raised with care.
