This dessert is made using five varieties of apple grown in Yurihonjō, baked together in a foil wrapping.
The Nishime area of Yurihonjō City has enjoyed a prosperous crop of apples for a long time. These apples are nurtured by the pure water from Mt. Chokai, making them juicy and sweet. Fully-ripe Nishime apples are the main ingredient in this product.
In addition to apples, the sourness of fruit from the crimson glory vine, the smoothness from honey, and fresh milk straight from Jersey cows all lend to the flavor of this dessert, making it sweet and sour with a moist texture. A bit of hidden soy sauce brings out the flavors of the carefully-selected ingredients.
