This poundcake is made with a mixture of dried figs and fig kanroni (figs preserved by simmering in a sweet syrup). The figs used are grown in the Ōtake area of Nikaho City, which is said to be the northernmost limit of where they are grown in Japan.
By combining two different types of fig (dried and kanroni), this poundcake allows you to enjoy both the sweetness and the texture of figs.
