Hamadate Park

From this view point, you can see the land created by the sector collapse of Mt. Chōkai.
This castle site park, said to have been built in 1291, is located on a plateau about 500 m from the sea with an elevation of 100 m. The castle that once stood here is believed to have been a mountain castle that took advantage of the terrain.
Approximately 3,000 Yoshino cherry trees (Cerasus × yedoensis) are planted here, making it a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing.
